September 20th 2011

Congratulations! You have now all set up your own reading blogs and they're looking good! Next week, when you get back from the integration workshop, we will all become followers of each other's blogs so that we can comment on what our classmates are writing. We wrote a response to the short story 'Feeding The Dog' by Susan Price in class today. If you did not finish this, please do so before our lesson next Monday (26th September). Make sure you follow the guidelines on the handout I gave you. I have attached the document below.

Starting from next week, you will be expected to update your blog at least 3 times a week. I will be checking in on you from time to time and giving you feedback. You will also be free to read the blogs of your classmates and make comments.
When you have finished a book or a novel, you should write a response to it on your blog following the guidelines on the document above. This will be an ongoing project throughout the year and will be assessed each trimester. You will be expected to complete at least two entries per trimester, but of course you can do more. I will post the criteria for this assessment after we have discussed it in class.

Happy Reading!
